Golden Horn
The Golden Horn (Turkish: Haliç, Greek: Χρυσόν Κέρας) is a flooded prehistoric estuary dividing the city of Constantinople. The name in English is a direct translation of its Greek name. In Greek legend, Byzas the Megarian named it after his mother Keroessa.
