The Hajj (, ; ; Ottoman Turkish: حاج, Hāc; , ) is the Pilgrimage to Mecca in Islam. Every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so is obliged to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in his or her lifetime, additional trips being recommended.
